Processing img tinzw19f98yh1...

We've been building a browser extension with OrangeFren that lets you do BTC → XMR atomic swaps right from Tor Browser (or Firefox, but Tor Browser is better since all traffic goes over Tor).

You use it like an instant exchange. You get a quote from a market maker, decide how much you want to swap, paste your Monero address and send your BTC.

If the maker goes silent, you just get your BTC back. If they lock less XMR than they quoted, same thing, refund. Otherwise you get exactly what you were quoted. They can't take your BTC hostage.

Some more details:

The protocol is the same one Eigenwallet uses on desktop (the COMIT/Farcaster protcool). Your BTC goes into a 2-of-2 output with timelocked cancel and refund paths. The maker locks XMR to an address split between both of you. The maker can only claim the BTC with an adaptor signature, and claiming it reveals the key share you need to sweep the XMR.

If the XMR lock doesn't show up, or doesn't match the quoted amount, the extension waits for the cancel timelock and refunds.

It's the same Rust swap code
