Trocador
VeilSwap vs Trocador (2026): aggregator or direct exchange?
These are different kinds of service, and that decides most of the comparison. Trocador searches partner exchanges and hands your order to whichever one you pick; VeilSwap quotes two liquidity providers itself and keeps the order on its own domain. Both avoid accounts and both claim they never touch your funds. The real difference is who holds the order after you confirm.

Where Trocador wins
- Far wider exchange coverage: the aggregator model compares many partner exchanges at once, which is more routes than two providers can ever offer
- A longer track record and a public reputation layer (Trustpilot invites, long-running support channels on Telegram and Matrix)
- Extra products a privacy user may actually want: prepaid and gift cards, bridging, AnonPay
Where VeilSwap wins
- One domain end to end: no redirect to a third-party order page, so the page you started on is the page that shows your deposit address and payout hash
- Refunds are mechanical, not casework: the refund address is fixed before deposit, and provider EMERGENCY outcomes refund without a support ticket
- The pricing layer is inspectable: a keyless public quote endpoint returns the same output and route count the page shows
| Criterion | VeilSwap | Trocador |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A direct exchange front-end over two liquidity providers — one order, one deposit address, one status page on veilswap.io | An aggregator: it searches its partner exchanges and redirects the order to the one you choose. Trocador states it never has access to your funds |
| Who holds the order after you confirm | Us. The deposit address belongs to the selected provider, but the order record, status polling and refund handling stay in our system | The partner exchange. Trocador is the comparison and support layer; the swap itself happens on the exchange's own order page |
| How many routes you see | Two providers quoted per request, and the count is shown on the quote. On ZEC corridors only one provider quotes today — we say so rather than implying competition that is not there | Many partner exchanges at once, with the option to pick among them — this is the aggregator model's real strength |
| Rate mode and lock | Fixed-rate only. The quote preview refreshes every 120 seconds; the rate is locked at order creation for about 10 minutes, with a 30-minute deposit window | Offers both fixed and floating quotes from the partner exchanges, so you choose between price certainty and a better headline number |
| Refunds | Refund address is collected before the deposit address is shown, and provider-side EMERGENCY cases (under/over-payment, late deposit, limit breach) are refunded automatically | Handled with the partner exchange, with Trocador's support team mediating — their stated role is exactly to help when a swap goes wrong |
| Extras | None — swap only. No cards, no payments, no upsell | Prepaid cards, gift cards, DeFi & bridge, and an AnonPay product on top of swapping |
How to decide
If you want the widest set of exchanges and extra tools in one place, Trocador is the more capable aggregator, and it has earned its reputation over a longer period than we have existed. If you want one exchange to own the order from quote to payout hash — fixed rate locked at creation, refund address set before you send, no redirect — VeilSwap is the narrower but more accountable route. Check your own pair on both: the aggregator will usually show more options, and the honest question is which option actually pays out more after fees.
