Why hasn't anyone built a hardware wallet that natively supports Monero?

Most of the community relies on third-party bridges or mobile apps, which introduces attack surface and usability pain. Has anyone tried developing an open-source firmware for a cheap microcontroller that could store the view and spend keys offline? What are the main blockers, security audits, lack of developer interest, or perhaps the need for RingCT verification on the device? If you have experience with existing hardware wallets, or have seen a prototype, share what you think would make a native Monero hardware wallet feasible. I'm curious whether the obstacle is technical, legal, or just a matter of community momentum. submitted by /u/jason_miller0fiuv [link] [comments]
